We humans have explored most of the parts of our planet and looked even in space in search of intelligent beings. But we haven’t found even one race whose intelligence can match with that of ours. So, at least for the time being we can say that humans are the smartest race we know.
Now, consider another planet, say Earth02 which has formed in the same way as ours. Let it also be the part of a similar solar system with one moon around it. Let the conditions on it be favorable for life to form and develop. In other words, a planet which is similar to our Earth but with one difference – There will be no humans. Of course, the Earth02 will rearrange itself to form an ecosystem which will be slightly different than that of Earth.
Now, on Earth02, the smartest race will be that of chimpanzees. Here they are the smartest beings we know (after us of course). These chimps, in the course of time will invent and discover things similar what man has done on Earth. But there will be a major difference. They will take more time to invent the same things. For example, if humans took 1000 years to make the first watch, chimps will take 5000. Also, there will be a limit to what they invent. This is because our brain is more advanced and we can work out complex things which these dumb chimps will find hard to do. Let’s say they cannot figure out automobiles better than the ones that worked on coal. No diesel, gasoline electric and certainly not nuclear energy to be used by them. These processes will be much complicated. Thus their technological initiatives will reach a standstill and their technology will not develop further.
Now, I want to bring an interesting angle to this theory. Try replacing Earth02 with our Earth and replace the chimps with us humans. Thus there will be another similar planet with beings which will be far more advanced than us. They will not only progress at a fast rate but also have technological standards which will be impossible for us feeble-minded humans to understand, far less reach.
This raises some obvious questions!
Are we really the smartest beings?
Can such a planet be existing right mow?
There’s always a possibility.
When will we reach the end of our technological advancements?
Or have we reached a limit already?
And what about the inventions (which are too complicated) made by the other race?
Will such a race be a threat to us? Will we be able to handle it?
In a fight between chimps and humans, we’ll always have an edge. So will this race over us!
This theory brings up several questions to which I have only vague answers. This is all for now. But if I think of something similar, I’ll surely post it.

this is an inept theory in itself to a point it brings up some strong facts that people should consider but theres a completely new question that comes out of this if there were 2 earths which are nearly the same in a course of lets say 50 million years min whatever race is exactly like ours then would be a paradox no 2 things in the universe will ever be the same well actually the problem is they are but that isnt really relevent the point is even 10 million years of evolution can completely change a species humans could be who knows how diffrent if there was 1 more mutation in our genetics our brain wouldnt be so big if our jaw didnt shrink also natural selection would have an inevitable role anyway and its too random to conclude a logical answer for this anyway unless your trying to trick people into thinking this way
Bhinder, you’re completely wrong. Since the universe is an infinite space (as far as we can tell) and there are only a finite number of things which can happen, there must be everything possible happening in the universe at any one time.
On a different note, I personally do NOT believe humans are the most intelligent animals. We are the only race which kills others out of cold blood. We have wars. We Enslave. If another race came and took over ours, would you say it’s smarter? Because according to our logic, it would have to be. I firmly believe Dolphins are the smartest. They Communicate. They have social groups. They don’t kill each other. They train humans to feed them on command. Therefore, they are smarter.
Since when having wars and killing is a sign of stupidity? With higher power of intellect comes higher responsibility, and for now we are not good at handling it. Dolphins do not have global or personal agendas, all they care about is feed, mate, and have fun. That is why they don’t need to kill or enslave each other. According to your intellect evaluation method, wolfs, chimpanzees and bees are also smarter then us.
